Arthouse2B held its first ever retreat for artists at Annunciation Church in West Harlem. The 3-day retreat weekend included Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, confession, keynote speeches, artist testimonies, shared meals, and an artisanal coffee social. The weekend’s themes were rooted in the Eucharist as the source of life and creativity, and the weekend culminated in a Mass for Artists event, featuring the opening reception for the gallery exhibition, sub*stantia, and a brief set of live performances. A team of volunteers assisted, including (but not limited to): Fr. Malachy Joseph Napier, Fr. Orlando Rodriguez, Frassati Missions, Mariela Gomez, Jenny Kibrick, Emilia Chornay, Anna Paolicelli, and Ingrid and Martin Gutierrez.
